It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Nolan R. Reed, 25, of Columbus, and formerly of New Philadelphia, who passed away at his home on Friday, March 13, 2026. Born in Dover on May 17, 2000, Nolan was the cherished son of Michael and Rhonda (Metzger) Reed.
Nolan was a 2018 graduate of New Philadelphia High School, where he was an active member of the school band, sharing his passion for music and bringing joy to his peers through his talent and dedication. He continued his education at The Ohio State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2020. Nolan’s studies reflected his curiosity, empathy, and commitment to understanding and helping others, qualities that defined both his personal and professional life.
Throughout his career, Nolan demonstrated a deep commitment to serving others, guided by integrity, compassion, and a strong sense of purpose. His thoughtful nature and genuine care for those around him left a lasting impression on colleagues, friends, and family. Nolan had an infectious optimism, a quick smile, and a warmth that made those around him feel valued and supported.
Nolan’s life, though tragically brief, was full of meaningful accomplishments and connections. He is deeply missed by his parents, Michael and Rhonda, as well as by extended family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. During this difficult time, the family is grateful for the support, love, and condolences shared by their community.
