It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tommy Dwain Nix, age 63, of Hamilton, who passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at his residence. Tommy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, whose presence brought joy, laughter, and love to all who knew him.
Tommy’s life was defined by his commitment to family, community, and the countless relationships he nurtured over the years. He cherished his role as a loving husband to his wife, Teresa Nix, and as a proud father to his sons, Colby (Alex) Nix and Conner (Cassie) Nix. He also took immense joy in being a grandfather to Blair, Baylor, Gage, and Porter Nix, treasuring every moment spent with his grandchildren and imparting lessons of kindness, hard work, and integrity.
Beyond his immediate family, Tommy was a loving brother to Timmy (Billie Jean) Nix and a devoted uncle to his niece, Kylee Nix. He held close bonds with his extended family, including brother-in-laws Elton (Margaret) Johnson and Dale Johnson, sister-in-law Susie Carter, and his aunts, Carolyn Baldridge and Becky Nix. Tommy’s warmth, generosity, and gentle nature touched all who had the privilege of knowing him, leaving a lasting impact on family, friends, and neighbors alike.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Dwain and Doris Nix, as well as by brother-in-laws Randell Johnson and David Carter, and his parents-in-law, Bankston and Lois Johnson. Their memories, alongside Tommy’s own, will be cherished and honored by all who loved him.
Visitation for Tommy Dwain Nix will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from 12:00 pm until service time beginning at 2:00 pm at the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel. Following the service, burial will take place at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
Tommy’s legacy is one of love, devotion, and generosity. His kindness, sense of humor, and unwavering dedication to his family and friends will be remembered by all whose lives he touched. He leaves behind a life well-lived, a family bound by love, and countless memories that will continue to inspire and bring comfort in the days ahead.
