It is with profound sorrow that the Maryland community mourns the tragic and untimely passing of Elik Topolosky. Elik was taken from us far too soon in a devastating car accident, leaving an immeasurable void in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who knew him. His life, marked by kindness, warmth, and a genuine presence, touched countless lives and will be deeply missed.
Elik Jacob Topolosky was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend. He was known for his caring nature, his ability to bring comfort and joy to those around him, and the strength of his character. Those who had the privilege of knowing Elik remember him for his generosity, his sense of humor, and the unwavering love he showed to his family and community. His loss is felt not only by those closest to him but by all who were touched by his life.
Funeral services to honor Elik’s life will be held on Sunday, March 15, at 12:30 p.m. at the chapel at Gan HaZikaron – Garden of Remembrance Cemetery in Clarksburg, Maryland, with burial to follow immediately. Shiva will be observed at 4909 Baltic Avenue in Rockville for the remainder of the week, with minyanim for Shacharit (Monday–Friday at 7 a.m.) and Mincha/Maariv (Sunday–Thursday at 7 p.m.). Additional shiva services may also be held in Frederick, Maryland, details to be announced.
During this extremely difficult time, the family requests privacy during lunch hours (1–2 p.m.) and after 9 p.m. for rest and reflection. Support from the community, expressions of sympathy, and assistance to Elik’s wife and children are greatly appreciated as they navigate this heartbreaking loss.
